Two generations of woodworkers.

For us, wood represents an inexhaustible source of creativity and innovation. Today, we are continuing a tradition handed down by two generations of woodworkers, who have been developing products since the 1930s using the natural composite, wood, in an ecologically responsible manner that respects both man an the environment. To raise our profile in the automobile market, Hebic was set up in 1989, to focus on the specific needs of this sector.


The path to sustainable production.

The light green colour in our logo is a very important colour to us, and it is no accident. That is because we realise that there is still some way to go before we can achieve a 100% green production system. We only work with FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC-approved wood. Our synthetic material is 100% polypropylene and is therefore very good for recycling, so we use it ourselves in the production of our accessories. What limited waste we have is separated into different categories and used among other things for generating green electricity (biomass). All this is only the start of the path we want to tread to join the Cradle-to-Cradle economy, in which all raw materials will be made into useful products again and again.

The beaver

Working hard, with pleasure.

The Fabeltjeskrant (Daily Fable), a children’s programme we used to watch in Belgium a lot at the end of the '60s - early '70s, inspired us to choose the Beaver as the symbol of our company’s identity. The animals from the Fabeltjeskrant lived in the Great Animal Forest and their problems had much in common with those of people. The same applied to their emotions, skills and habits. Ed and Willem, the Beaver brothers, were the boffins of the Great Animal Forest. Day and night they stood by to solve all technical faults and problems. They took great pleasure in working hard and always stood up for one another.
